Only A Few Hours Left Until 2011......!

Well it's the 31st of December once again and it's only about 6 hours until the new year!

2010 has proved to be a bit different for me than the last couple of years, I actually got round to doing a lot of the things I planned to do, such as skating more often, spending more time on my work, spending more time with my friends and Rose and of course I got to travel for three weeks around europe, I know three weeks isn't very long but being a student there is only so much money you can spend. Of course I got up to a lot more but those are the things that stick out in my mind right now. So last year i spent the coming o the new year with my mother and then went to party on up in a friends house after about half one. This year again I will be spending it with my dear mother, but also with my beautiful girlfriend Rose and her mother, were going to watch some fireworks in New quay Wales which should be great, none of us have spend a new years eve there yet so its something new for us all!

Anyway I'll leave you with some pictures of the snow we had here at home in Bronwydd over christmas and some nice words for the new year.

I wish all of my friends and family the very best for the rest of tonight and the new year, may it bring you all you ask for and more!

Merry Christmas...!

MERRY CHRISTMAS PEOPLE! I hope you're all sat on the sofa stuffed to the brim with turkey, sipping alcohol while watching christmas television..! It's been ten days since my last post so I thought it would be about time to blogg some more! Here are some videos of me and my oldest brother Tomos enjoying the snow we've had here at home in Carmarthen. The jump isn't very big but our field at home doesn't really have a big slope so it was the best we could do for the speed you come down the slope with. I've taken a few pictures os the snow as well so I'll upload them sometime tomorrow.

Cardiff Airport Brief

This is a project we were set in uni at the start of the first this term in october, We were brief by Mike Smith of Elmwood London via a skype video call and were set the challenge of producing a customer experience of 'A walk on the welsh side' for the customers using Cardiff International Airport. So in groups of about five, we all set out to work for four weeks and all produced our final presentation and visuals of what we would do if it were a real life brief. Bellow are two of my visuals I produced for the my groups work at airport that we used in our final presentation, this was the first time I had given visuals like this a go, so there not the best but I'm pleased with them as they are my first attempt at this style of work.

My flat mate james showed me this really good website which you sign up to, enter your interests and then click the stumble upon button, this then directs you to blogs, websites, animations etc (things linked to your interests). My First Optical Illusion..!

You can watch the video bellow but it's better to watch it on fullscreen, you can do this by clicking here. Be sure you stare at the X in the middle of the screen the whole way through the video. This technique is so simple yet it works so well, it is basically two images, the first is an inverted image and the second is a greyscale version of the original colour image. When you watch the video and stare at the X and it changes to the greyscale image your eyes will see the image in full colour even though the original colour image is nowhere to be seen in the video! Its a bit like if you were to look at a light bulb for a few seconds in the dark and then switched it off, you can still see some sort of image in your eyes.

Don't Mess Around With Guns Kids!

This is what happened to me left thigh late friday night!



After shooting a friend who was wearing a army polar expedition jacket in the arse luckily it just ended up brusing him because of his massive jacket, he then naturally grabbed the gun and said 'your turn' I then realised how stupid I was to have shot him because he was only going to get his own back! So i put on the polar expedition coat and told him to aim for the same place i had shot him (hoping that it would just to that same to me as it did to him!) but aiming for my arse with the air rifle, Kane accidently ended up shooting me in the back of the left thigh...! Which resulted in a pellet putting a hole through my jeans, a hole though my pj's I had on underneath and a hole into my thigh. So I spent most of the earlier hours of saturday lying on a bed in a ward all drugged up until about half two that afternoon, when the trauma surgeons put me under local anesthetic and removed the pellet, which you can see bellow!



So I've most certainly learnt my lesson, I hope you learn from me and not the hard way...!

Moist Carrot Cake Skate Edit...!

This is a piss-take skate video that me and a friend, Kane Nugen,t edited in a few hours, it has footage from from the last three years, but we only recently purchased a firewire enabling us to capture and edit the footage. So with a Scarface and Robocop Vs Terminator Mega System 1 soundtrack here it is...
