This Is Pretty Cool

I was having browse on the internet earlier and came across this really well thought out video, there are thirty six skaters with neon lights strapped to them as they skate down a hill and finale stop in a formation that create a Tetris style game.

Persuasion | howies®

Here is a set of three posters and tree mail shots to go with the campaign I created for a brief in untitled persuasion, I know the head graphic designer that works for howies® so I asked if I was able to use their company in my uni work, they said I could and this is what I came up with for them. This was a hypothetical brief and the campaign was not launched so these pictures don't have anything to do with howies® just some work I did in uni.

Sting Portrait Animation

HAPPY NEW YEAR......!

So its the 01/01/2011.....!

Madness isn't it?! So I'll start the year with showing you a timeline animation I created in uni last year, we were each given a famous celebrity at random and told to produce a piece of work that portrays them. I got given Sting as my famous celebrity and decided to make a timeline animation of the things he has achieved in his career. The green line shows charitable things Sting has achieved and is in a bigger typeface because I believe they are the good things he has done using his career to benefit others, the red line consists of personal things he's done as well as awards won in the band 'The Police' which although they are great achievement I believe the charitable things out weigh the awards because they have made a real difference to peoples lives, so they are in a slightly smaller typeface than the top green things, so this to see how my final outcome turned out watch the video bellow.

I hope you enjoyed my animation, and I hope this new year brings you the three L's, LOVE, LIFE and LAUGHTER!

Only A Few Hours Left Until 2011......!

Well it's the 31st of December once again and it's only about 6 hours until the new year!

2010 has proved to be a bit different for me than the last couple of years, I actually got round to doing a lot of the things I planned to do, such as skating more often, spending more time on my work, spending more time with my friends and Rose and of course I got to travel for three weeks around europe, I know three weeks isn't very long but being a student there is only so much money you can spend. Of course I got up to a lot more but those are the things that stick out in my mind right now. So last year i spent the coming o the new year with my mother and then went to party on up in a friends house after about half one. This year again I will be spending it with my dear mother, but also with my beautiful girlfriend Rose and her mother, were going to watch some fireworks in New quay Wales which should be great, none of us have spend a new years eve there yet so its something new for us all!

Anyway I'll leave you with some pictures of the snow we had here at home in Bronwydd over christmas and some nice words for the new year.

I wish all of my friends and family the very best for the rest of tonight and the new year, may it bring you all you ask for and more!

The river Gwili frozen almost all the way over!

My house and the lane.

The railway track just down the lane.

So I guess it's...........GOODBYE 2010!

Lots of peace and love to you all..!

Merry Christmas...!

MERRY CHRISTMAS PEOPLE! I hope you're all sat on the sofa stuffed to the brim with turkey, sipping alcohol while watching christmas television..! It's been ten days since my last post so I thought it would be about time to blogg some more! Here are some videos of me and my oldest brother Tomos enjoying the snow we've had here at home in Carmarthen. The jump isn't very big but our field at home doesn't really have a big slope so it was the best we could do for the speed you come down the slope with. I've taken a few pictures os the snow as well so I'll upload them sometime tomorrow.

Cardiff Airport Brief

This is a project we were set in uni at the start of the first this term in october, We were brief by Mike Smith of Elmwood London via a skype video call and were set the challenge of producing a customer experience of 'A walk on the welsh side' for the customers using Cardiff International Airport. So in groups of about five, we all set out to work for four weeks and all produced our final presentation and visuals of what we would do if it were a real life brief. Bellow are two of my visuals I produced for the my groups work at airport that we used in our final presentation, this was the first time I had given visuals like this a go, so there not the best but I'm pleased with them as they are my first attempt at this style of work.

This is a visual of how we would make the arrivals room look like.

This is a visual for how we would have made the exit look like.

I hope you enjoyed my work!
